Day One

Well this is it. I have crossed over. Here is my new blog. I am slightly perturbed by the lack of emoticons, but I will persevere.
I have got my surgery date now- the 18th July. Which seems a long way off and perilously close to my sisters wedding. Eek. I then made the fatal mistake of googling my surgery and was met with lovely gory pictures, amazing statistics about failure, and all the things that could go wrong. I will never google again. Scared for life.
The horses are all well. I am trying to leave them out 24/7 and toughen them up, but as soon as the wind picks up or it drizzles I am straight out there whisking them back into the warmth of their stables. I am so weak. I cant imagine anyone elses retired / roughed off horses being fed like mine / not exposed to rain!
An all is well in the land of Alice too. She is at nursery today and looking forward to our mystery weekend away this weekend. Mark is taking us both somewhere. But I have no idea where. I'm hoping for somewhere with the word 'Spa' closely associated to it, failing that wine and good food come a close second.
