Today is in fact Wednesday. Not Thursday. Which I only realised after trying to go to the Hospital appointment Alice has on Thursday, today. Less said about that the better. I am very 'special'. So no grape update yet.
We went out for dinner with my parents at Prezzo in Warwick last night. They are staying for a couple of days then going back to Surrey. We had the nicest meal and such good service. And Alice was very grown up and ordered her dinner off the Bambino menu.
I had brought dinner along for her, and a drink- but after seeing the very nice kiddy menu though she may like to join in with Italian food. So she had some bruschetta to start which she loved- it barely touched the sides! Then they gave her some orange squash in a glass. She is too tiddly for glasses to I decided to empty the water out her beaker and let her try it in there. She hasn't had squash before. But as the toilets ( with sink to empty water into ) were upstairs I decided to be crafty and empty the 50ml of water in Alice's beaker into the plant pot next to where we were sat. Which would have been fine, if I had any subtlety. Alas I don't and despite my best attempts to water the plants furtively the ladies on the table next to us spotted me and laughed. Loudly. Oops.
Then Alice managed a huge portion of spaghetti bolognaise and some chocolate ice cream for pudding. She had a fabby time.
Alas I am at work today which is rather rubbish. I think I should be a lady of leisure. I think I would be good at it. I could quite happily spend my days playing with Alice, ponies, dining and getting my hair and nails done.
Instead I am trying to make head and tail of the mountain of paperwork that is slowly taking over my desk. Boo hiss. Its rather tempting to throw it out the window.Must. Resist.
So today Alice is looking at a nice house in Stratford with my parents- it has river frontage, but no room for ponies. So Dad is keen, and mum less so. I like Stratford so am encouraging them towards this house as I would love to come and visit them there. Its not too far from us at all.
And I am keeping my fingers tightly crossed for Millar today who is having her op. She is being very brave and should have it this afternoon. I rather impressively for someone so lacking in common sense have found a train route to get over to the hospital she is in, and will visit her on Friday. Its the same hospital that retrieved and saved Alice, so I think rather highly of them.
So she is in my thoughts today.
So thats all folks. I will go back tomorrow for Alice's grape investigating, and let you know how it goes
xoxo
