Long time no blog

Life has been a little topsy turvy. Where does one start?
Hmm. Ponies.
All are well. Woody has been giving Alice rides to and from the field, and is officially the biggest 1st pony ever. She is uber docile. Alice pats her and screams with laughter. Merlyn is traumatised due to some landscaping at home and he thinks the field is a safe place, and in the stable he may be eaten alive. Bah humbug- aged 22 you would think he may mellow? Currently stuffing his face with haylage to soothe the trauma of being able to see lillies from his stable. Alby remains lovely, feral and rather yellow tinged. He has been suffering with the flies eating him, but despite repeated calm attempts to put on a fly mask- it hasn't happened. he is just too head shy. However he now confidently eats carrots out my hand which is nice.
Home is looking rather exciting. I now have my own vegetable patch, which thrills me more than you would imagine! I have planted- tomatoes, chilli's, courgettes, strawberries, chives, lettuce, sweet peas and something else that escapes me. Along side the chickens we may become self sufficient one day... or not!
We have piped all the stream along the menage and dug out a pond. And put in 110 fish today, lillies and some rush things. Much amusement. i looks really attractive in waders, and its obviously a recommended physio exercise for a one legged cripple. Suffice to say I am paying the price after turning round and relocating my knee cap in a rather grim manner. Thankfully I was given morphine for these predicaments.
There has been more decking put in around the menage, and I even weed killed the gravel today. One day, in the not too distant future we may have a perfect home. I love it.
Alice is very well. She won her baby beauty championships at a very quiet ( thank you god) presentation, and will appear in the paper shortly. We have put her portrait up in the lounge and I love it. Really nice. but slightly less joyfull is Alice's nursery which has swine flu. Arse.
In other news Mummyhmk is making steady progress which is very nice. So should be very much on her feet for my sisters wedding ( 5 weeks today!)
I visited my sister today who then had to dash of to tend to an emergency callout for an ill African Grey- that had been ill for a week, but the genius owner decided to call my sister at lunch on Saturday as it hadnt got better, or eaten for 6 days- so brought it into surgery where it promptly popped its clogs. Some owners are scarily lacking in common sense.
Then we came home for all the house odds and ends and Mrhmk went out with 'the lads' and I did the most evil final parts for a tender due in on Monday. is it wrong that I am at my most productive post 9pm on a Saturday night with a couple of glasses of wine in me?
So thats all folks. This time next week I will have my bionic knee in place. I will then recover uber fast to go for drinks for my instructors engagement 6 days after surgery, and a wedding the following day.
I shall obviously be riding within the month too......
